Timely Topics Webinar: Impact of Student Led Capstone Projects from the Division of Management Degree Programs
12 p.m.
Teams of students from the School of Medicine Division of Management Degree Program complete capstone projects each year in culmination of their master’s degrees. Together, student capstone teams solve a healthcare organization or business challenge for their organizational sponsor. Several capstone project recommendations have resulted in organizational improvement, including recommendations to OHSU to help better support houseless patients and a feasibility study of a mobile opioid treatment program that helped CODA substance use treatment center achieve their goals.
Join Jessica Walter, Ed.D., M.A. Assistant Professor of Division of Management, School of Medicine and Caitlin Wells, M.B.A. ’20, CEO at The Project of the Quad Cities as they explore the benefits of student capstone projects for students and their sponsors, the diversity and scope of capstone projects and the ways completed projects have improved the healthcare system. They will also discuss how interested healthcare organizations can become capstone team sponsors.
